In the northern city of Suamprabom in Kachin State, there is only one strategic hill left by the military council to capture the city. Since the start of the attack on the city, the police station in the city has surrendered and has been able to control the city. We continue to try to gain the strategic hill outside the city. If we get the strategic hill, we can say that we have got the city of Suamprabom. Suamprabom town is located on Putao road near the Myitkyina river, and if we get to that town, it will automatically cut off Putao town, where the northernmost glaciers of Kachin state are located.
In Karen State, some military council battalions were captured, and they continue to occupy the next strategic hills. Just a few days ago, Kyarin Seik Gyi Township was able to capture Kyaik Dom, and about 60 forces, including the commander, surrendered. Those strategic hills have been blocked by the KNU for months, cutting off food and reinforcement routes. Now, when the war was ramping up, the soldiers of the military council had to surrender because of the offensive attack.
