It is reported that TLNA troops will withdraw from Moe Kot and Moe Meik by the end of November. Although TLNA has withdrawn, it has been announced that Moe Kot will continue to be controlled and defended by NUG forces. It is also reported that local PDF troops and veteran rebel group ABSDF troops will continue to defend Moe Meik. The KIA has also said that it will provide necessary assistance to defend Moe Meik.
While the rebel forces are preparing to resist the army’s offensive, residents are fleeing the city due to fear of airstrikes. In addition, they are worried that the TLNA will bring in the army before it withdraws. In Lashio, the MNDAA forces themselves brought in the army and returned it. Now, there are concerns that the TLNA will bring in a Lashio-style army to Moe Kot and Moe Meik. However, since other rebel forces are well-controlled in and around those two cities, it is not easy for them to become like Lashio. We will have to wait and see when the TLNA withdraws at the end of this month.
