AA has captured the town of Rumbre in southern Rakhine state. It is known that the Rakhine Army (AA) attacked the military council station stationed on the mountain of Theintaung Pagoda in Rambrei town with a large force and managed to capture Rambrei town completely. The AA group has been attacking Rumbre town since last December 18, 2023, and the military council army has ordered the three groups cooperated and resisted fiercely. On February 24th, the AA group intercepted and attacked nearly 120 military council soldiers who were sending reinforcements to Rambre town via air, leaving many bodies and ammunition. Food was confiscated. Rumbre is an important tent city located close to Kyauk Phyu, where the Military Council Naval Headquarters is located. The city became the first city in southern Rakhine that the AA Army could capture.
