Clashes between PLNO and the army, which signed the NCA after an eight-year ceasefire with the army, have started in the past few days, and PLNO has captured and controlled the town of Seisai, which is located in the border between Shan and Karenni State. Sesai City has been the base of PLNO since the beginning and now it has been captured from the hands of the Military Council. Army regiments in the city, after attacking and occupying all the police stations, the military council is bombing them with airplanes as usual. Those fleeing the war from the city are fleeing towards Taunggyi, the capital of Shan State. Sesai town is located at the entrance to Karen State from the Taunggyi side. This capture of the city opens up more opportunities for the liberation of Karenni State.
At the same time, in Karenni State, Morchi town was abandoned by the military council forces, so the revolutionary groups could seize it without attacking. Therefore, in Karenni State, there are up to three cities that can be captured by the revolutionary groups, including Mae Se and Nan Mae Gou. The revolutionary forces control 75 percent of the entire area within Karenni State and are continuing to fight for the capital, Loi Ko.
