The Asean envoy’s visit to Burma was canceled at the last minute. The Asean envoy’s request for a meeting with Aung San Suu Kyi was rejected by the military council. He said the trip was canceled because he only met with the Speaker of the Hluttaw. Even so, the military council still wants to deceive Asean. Under pressure from around the world, Asean could not give up on the military council as before. The status quo remains to be seen whether Min Aung Hlaing will attend the ASEAN Summit later this month.
